At Milo you don't just get handed the diploma. Earned, not given. At the end of an intensive programme you, as a student, sit an exam that shows whether you truly master the profession. Not only in theory, but also on the floor.
The preparation: practical lesson 9
The exam actually begins one lesson earlier. In practical lesson 9 you carry out an intake with a fellow student. You determine a clear goal and perform a thorough movement analysis.
Based on that information, you write a training programme that aligns with their goals. With the knowledge you have built up in the weeks before, you substantiate your choices:
- Why do you choose a specific exercise?
- How many sets and repetitions suit the goal?
- How do you optimally balance work and rest for the desired stimulus?
In short: you can explain the why behind every choice.
Beyond training alone
But it doesn't stop there. You think beyond training alone and also develop a strategy for nutrition and lifestyle. You analyse the intake, identify obstacles and determine the biggest levers for success.
You make a concrete plan to maximise the chance of results. Not a list of guidelines, but a thoughtful strategy that suits the person in front of you.
The exam day
On the exam day you defend your plan. You present your choices and the mentors test your knowledge with targeted questions. You demonstrate that you master the theory, from anatomy and physiology to biology and psychology.
After that we head into the gym. You lead part of your programme and show that you not only understand the theory, but can also translate it into practice. We see that you ensure people move with quality and intention.
After an assessment conversation with targeted feedback, you know exactly where you stand.
And then the moment arrives
You may call yourself a Milo Personal Trainer. Not because you passed an exam, but because you did the work, gained the knowledge and received the guidance to step into the field with confidence.
You have earned it, and you can feel it. Earned, not given.
